Flag Program

Every spring, summer, and fall, flags begin to appear around the island at homes and businesses around holidays. Volunteers from the Grosse Ile Kiwanis Club and friends of the club install flags at subscriber's desired locations for six national holidays: Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Patriots Day (9/11), and Veterans Day (weather permitting). 

Flag subscriptions are $50 per flag per calendar year. The stitched flags also include a sponsorship card which can include a dedication if you wish.

These subscriptions make great gifts! Please let us know if you are giving this as a gift by letting us know who it is for, where you would like it, and if you want a special certificate.

If you don't have a place for it in front of your home or business? Sponsored flags can be placed in the Commons and at the Memorial Garden at the Airport.
